Durramaid Mini Extractor
This rare convertable Cadillac is going to get the 3 stage buff job .to really bring out the gloss and is safer for new detailers than my wet sanding orbitals
ist stage is useing a medium cut foam pad and Hi Temps Akrya 800 heavy cut .The heat from the pad will make the beads melt and this leaves less swirling on dark colors
These are the applicater' terry' foam pad and I put the compound in a small bottle for convienance.Alsowhen I do a 3 stage buff job I wash the car lightly...to get dirt and grime off but thats all.....the buffing will leave a lot of dust and mess so we want no clue left that car was ever buffed. We will do the 3 stage swirl and glazing after washing to remove any washing scratches and to give max gloss
I put on product on a 2 ft section and slowly buff back and forth at 1700 rpm,,,the do same process again.
spray a little quick detailer and buff area one last time to make sure all compound is removed and a nice gloss startys to shine
after every couple of times you put the buffer to the paint buffing ..stop and clean build up off pad ...I use a soft bristle brush at 800 rpm,,with buffer turned upside down resting on knee,a hard brush will damage pad and cause uneven wear and buffing
around door handles and mirrors and trim ,i rub up close with applicater and compound by hand, then buff around at slow speed so not to cause harm or damage
2nd stage we are going to use a lite cut compound heat enduced leveler to help eliminate any 8oo. compound swirls TIP as I always say start at the top ...then hood... trunk, and sides last ..this helps eliminate any scratching between sections. This has a convertable top so we went to hood first
2nd stage compound
