Back glass heat shrinking tip
|
I do the drier sheets myself ..but this can be done with powder too...after getting your back glass ready to shrink...shteet or powder....lay your H pattern down as wet as you can without having the water run down the window...then..with a hard card ..tack down the very center of the window..(just the small four in. section..in the very center of the H)..THEN...what i do...take my hand ..place it at the edge of the film in the side of the back glass...and pull on the film...stretching the film out ..thus...making the fingers ssmaller on the back window..the H pattern has to be really wet for this to happen...as you stretching the film to the side...take the hard card and tack down the middle of the H...to keep the stretch...then...take yoru thumb..at the tip of each corner(of the film)pull the film up..on the top...and down on the bottom corners..taking the fingers off the side...and hard card down... This helps me out and cuts time on shrinking..cuz you are shrinking the fingers down half the window..before you even take the heat gun to it....give it a try..if you donw already do it...it works for me.... |
