Side rear window question

i was wondering how far the tint goes on the rear side window.
they have dots and then a black space all the way around...
how far does the tint go? stops at dots? just past dots? or onto the black space?
thanks

heres a homemade picture.

Far enoug to cover the daylight, the rest shouldn't matter
so the tint will stick to the black stuff?

Some cheap %&$# won't. Not naming names
Yes over all the dots and another 1/8" farther over the black. Just makes it easy for you when u install. When u go to install try to place it as close as u can to where it goes and try not to slide it around. When u slide it u can drag dirt from the black area in and have contam.

Hope it's not an Acura you're tinting...or the like. Where the glass will "grow" on the inside... But, it'll be a learning experience!

Thats was I alway do, unless there less room inside, I'll cut even closer. It seems it reduces the chance of the film curling and looks cleaner.
