I'm mobile and I do flat.

So when I do mobile auto work I typically mail their receipt to them. When I do flat work I mail it too. I don't carry around a printer and laptop to print receipts and I don't bring them with me in case I upsale something while I'm there.

I do however mail the receipt, a thank you note, and usually a brochure for something they didn't buy. If they were an auto customer, I mail them a flat brochure. If they were a flat customer, I mail them a PPF brochure. You get the idea.

My thank you note is also actually about a page long detailing the other services and products I offer.

Hey, I had to spend $0.39 for that stamp, I'm going to make it work for me.

Sometimes, I email them a .pdf receipt and a lengthy email, but I prefer to mail it because they're more likely to read it if it's in their hand.

The return is pretty decent and it only takes an extra second of my time.

Soon, I may start mailing a feedback questionnaire along with it.
