Since you can tell the higher ups all you want how to clean the windows, they most likely aren't going to go to the janitorial staff and tell them.

So here's what I did (I love my plotter). I made a sticker that says don't use ammonia or bleach (v-kool job).

Someone might flip out about a sticker on the window, but most won't care. If they don't like it, it's easy to remove.

I was thinking about it, but thought that might be too tacky.

This at least serves a purpose, "Don't mess up the windows!!!!"

I also left a note for the staff to not tape stuff to the windows anymore and discussed this with the boss.

V-Kool's warranty card says no ammonia.

I put no bleach on there because it's a day care and you can just smell it in the air. I didn't want it to corrode the film (edge sealed it though).

Actually, the blade on the plotter weeded most of it for me. LOL. All the little tiny bits got stuck on the blade.

if you never have done so... Ammonia is a common chemical IMO, and Im sure alot of others, to remove film. Auto, Flat, any really... Its a bit cheaper to pull a layer off, and when you still have a layer or adhesive remaining, spray ammonia on it, and watch what remains turn yellow than to waste a pack of triumphs or spend an hour scraping for that matter. (Simple Green is another great chemical to remove with, the old stuff, not the new stuff) I use to tell custy's the same thing Dan.. Good Tip!! Nice thought! If the custy would continue to use ammonia based cleaners to clean windows the risk they run is the same as the above mentioned..

I like the idea.
But I would word it differently, adding your contact info.

Something like...

These windows tinted by:
Darkdan the Man
(Contact info)
Please do not use ammonia products when cleaning..... dunno.gif

I might put my name on the next one. I mean after all, window washers get away with it!

But considering the high price tag they paid for V-Kool on that job I wanted to keep it classy. =)

I think it'd be classy enough to put your name on there...

You could put something like:

I think people would appreciate being able to find contact info easily. dunno.gif
