inexpensive way to stabilise the box(would not move forward, when you pull the film) i use velcro tape, stick one piece to the bottom of the box on either side and the other two pieces to the floor, pull the film to desired length and cut,the box stays stagnant...hope this helps thumb.gif

Good tip, but I just pull it up in the air rather than out away from the box then bring it towards the floor. This tip would be useful when security film box gets lower on quantity thumb.gif

I use a piece of cardboard from the box and place it on the end of the blade that I am splitting the safety film with. Then I pull the film up inbetween the box and cardboard square giveing the film a straight edge. thumb.gif

if the hooks part of the tape is on the box, it would probably work well on carpet IMO.

3rd motion on the hook side down...the box would not move at all...or I just put my blue max in front of the box and it stays in place..
