Been doing it since they came out. You must cut the bottom of tint EXACT. When you go in with the film slide till you can't go any lower. Here's the problem. It's not low enough. You can still see the rear deck from the outside. Solution-lift the plastic covers that cover the baby seat hook on the rear deck and pull the deck towards you, same time slip the film down to cover the gap. Hope this helps.
Reason for edit: Added caps and spaces.

There is a very easy way to pop that whole rear deck out without removing the seat on those cars.

You guys let me know if you want to know whats involved. Only takes 1 or 2 minutes to remove what you need to remove to pull the deck out thumb.gif

FIRST, All you have to do is pop the sail panels off that run down next to the window. Only a couple clips hold each on They come off very easy.

The rear deck is ONLY held in with 2 plastic push in retainer things. Pull the top of the seat back near the corners and look down for the black plastic retainer. Pop it out (one on each side). I was able to grab onto it with a set of dikes, you may need a trim removal tool or a big screwdriver to pry it loose, I didnt though.

Then you can flanagel the deck up and over the seat and out of your way.

It literally takes a minute or two to do this. You have wide open glass to tint after this.

I cant believe there are only 2 little pizz ant clips holding this deck in Flaugh.gif

I am doing one monday, let me know if you guys dont understand what i am talking about and i will try and take a couple pictures.

Also, great post. Do you remove the side pillars first to get the retainers out or just shove a flathead down there & pry it off the deck, also do you leave the black push in retainers behind the seats out when your done or are you able to get them back in with the seats in the way? beer.gif

You will break the screws behind the airbag clips if you just pull on the sailpanels. And, every one I have (approx 5) the deck was literally "glued" to the urethane that the rear window was installed with. It took 2 men a couple of time to rip the deck away from the glass due to the urethane STUPID GM AS ALWAYS.

Amen brother.
I hate when the deck gets glued in by the window bonding crap.
