I do the same thing except I also wipe the rubber or trim down right before squeegeeing.

That's a great technique for cleaning! Instead of a slammer i've been using a red devil,but i think i'll try the ole slammer tomorrow. Seems you can get better leverage with it1

I ordered the slammer, but the blue or clear max will just have to wait. $40 for the blade and grip
