i started turning on the rear defroster for every car this winter it make the shrink alot better and less peanuts... and the paper shrinks alot better than popping like on a cold glass much more manageable in my opinion ... just thought i share this big joe

my step is clean all exterior glass powder rear lay out rear turn on defrost...cut out sides shrink sides and shrink the rear works well

I have heard this helps however I haven't turned them on during installation but told customers to while they are driving afterwards.

I have also been turning them on when I have a removal before I put steam to the film. Don't know if this helps or not as with the steamer it seems to work well anyway. Any thoughts on if it helps removal as well or am I possibly making it more difficult on myself?

some adhesives leave too much glue when theres alot of heat. it helps sometimes but not always...like i said, depends on the film brand and what stage of shittyness its in.

I tried that. Turning the desfrost before removal and it didnt help anything lol

try very hot water and deep in it a towel that can cover the whole BG. lay it down. also spray and put the black garbage bag inside to create moisture. that way almost all the glue comes off.

its helpful when it is no sunny/hot outside

I was always told not to turn on the defroster after installation b/c it is bad for the wet film. Ive never done it before, but I guess since others have, it has no affect on the film?

LOL! rollin.gif I have been turning them on for years now and never has a problem. Hey man better not wash your motor it may never start again! Just kidding~ but think about what were saying. Please don't say anything about wet distributors because they pretty much have to have a crack in them for water to get in. pirate-emoticon.gif
