Has anyone experienced fading from either of these brands that would require replacing?

And... preference for either or?

Thanks

the old sungard before solamatrix took over had a handfull of issues if not more. I can't speak for the new stuff it hasn't been out long enough & I don't use it. Some folks swear by the carbon film, only time will tell. I would stay away from suntek hp it will fade & turn purple, especially the 5% & 15%. I have heard of carbon hardcoat flaking off but i've never experienced it, maybe someone can clarify and say it was just a bad run. I would say just stick with a color stable warranty and you should be ok.

I agree and Jack, for Your area all it will double. Choose third supplier.

Never been impressed with SunGard, haven't used any of the new stuff. A lot of people here seem to like Suntek, time will tell how it holds up.

EVERYTHING fades..it's just a matter of how much it fades and over how much time and what part of the earth you tint at that should determine what film you can get away with and what you can realistically tell your customers Flaugh.gif

"Everything" fades in the sun. It just how long till you start noticing.
didnt see your post Tint Junkie your absolutely correct.
I havent used another product in over 10 years but custys coming in say my competitor offers a film that its warranty covers fading.
Guess some manufacturers have tons of money for warranties
