holes in glass Options

I have only run into this problem on a corvette that I tinted today, it was a 91 with tint that looked as if it was put on there in 91. I read about someone else having problems shrinking the sides with the pistons in the glass and with them removed. I used a piece of scrap tint about the size of a half dollar and put it over the hole on the outside of the glass and shrank over the film. I put this piece of tint on dry. I think i made it easier to shrink over the hole. Hope this helps out some one else. AND by the way these cars are a @#$% and a pain in the a$$. I have been tinting for 5 years and this is my first one and hoped that I wouldnt see one for another 5 years but I got a call for one just as I finished this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate those, too.

I've been at it about 9 years and some cars will just always be a pain. Especially since the older they are the worse they are.

I have instructed and demonstrated this method of filling in the holes while heat forming film... just any small scrap piece dry laminated to the glass works to give you an even shrinking field.
