Full Version: Beware of bees!
I was fixing to clean the back glass on the car I tinted this afternoon and jumped in with all my paraphernalia and noticed several insects way back up against the glass on the carpet. Nothing new...
Lucky it did not sting you. I got stung on the lip once and looked like a circus freak, top lip looked like a tire inner tube!
(Braud Spectrum @ Jun 14 2004, 09:04 PM) Both my grandaddys were bee keepers so when we'd run around as kids with no shoes on invariably I'd get stung on the foot. I remember my foot getting huge. Little Braud Foot I hate bees they can wreck a good time
Hornets are bastards plain and simple. Goofy looking paper huts in the trees, and I can't forget underground yellow jackets. I blow them up with half sticks of boom boom stuff.
Up here in Oregon yellowjackets are everywhere in the summer. Eat your Subway sandwich inside or you'll probably get harrassed and stung by these little terrors. Lots of those paper wasps, too. I sprayed at least three nests in my backyard with Raid a few weeks ago. One of the kids got stung by them so I had to resort to chemical warfare.
By the sound of it, thank goodness we don't have hornets downunder.
I did a home 12 months ago that had a hive located in the wall right beside the glass I was tinting. You should have seen the bastards making a flight line from far off to the wall? You could smell the honey Devil
About the yello jackets....I found a really great way to get rid of them without hunitng the nest. I read this on a web site. They make a salmon pase just for this . Mix a small amount of incapsulated insect killer in the paste and put it up somewhere safe, you know away from animals, the yellow jackes will take it back to the nest and feed it to the othes bees . Once they eat it the encapsulation breaks doun in their digestive system, and they all die!!!!! Cool huh? Its only suppose to take a few days once they find the paste. They said to use the salmon in the summer and they have a fruit based paste to use in the fall. I think it was BUGSPRAY.net
I'm very allergic to bees. I have to keep a shot of epinephrin real close just in case I get stung. I have about 40 minutes to live without the shot

That's animal cruelity and i'm reporting you to PITA

Had a client once call me the day after installing Bronze/Silver to her mobile home, perched in the middle of a cow pasture (or so it seemed), said her house was surrounded by millions of bees.
I told her it was something from the Twilight Zone... Just recommended she make a dash Bees don't like bleach...
