I am not sure when I picked this up, but use a socket to get the perfect size hole for cutting out patterns.
that is unless you have that neat little template thing

A quarter and nickel work best for me.............
Nice tip, I don't have that stainless templete either. Just takes a steady hand and its just as good.
steady hand or circle tempate for the office supply

A Chinese marker and a steady hand do the job for me.
