Ghost using vinyl

Can someone tell me what type of vinyl in used to create a ghost effect on painted surfaces?
I have ordered two different rolls and both were not what I wanted. I have tried clear and translucent light grey.

If your talking about like on a ghost flame you need a color that is a hair darker or lighter then the painted surface

Can I get one color/style of vinyl that will work for every color of paint except white or black?

avery has something called Tru Shadow. it's a transparent-ish blue-grey. works for most colors, i understand.

i use colors just a shade off of what color is being shaded...
