what does this film do exactally?

A 15 at night would be bloody hard to see out of at the best of times.
Try Bekaert's RG 20 P Rev for similar results but has a slightly lighter 20% VLT and I would imagine substantially cheaper than paying for the alphabet letters. I eat this film everyday and would be one of their biggest consumers of it downunder.

And of course there's LLumar... they have DR 25 & DR 35, which are as close a match to NV as you can get...

I'm told that the NV 25 has grey on both sides. Is this correct?

for the most part yes.

not to sure why everyone seems to have problems w/ the 3M film all the time? I never have a problem w/ it.. in fact its one of my favorite films to install because of ease of installation.sure w/ 15% film its gonna be thicker and harded to work w/ but ive never had any problems. and no im not defending 3M and their prices, they are over priced, im just stating my experiences w/ the film so maybe if others have questions i can help. beer.gif

The 25 is very shinny from the outtside and grey on the inside. Think the VLR outside is 29-32% on clear glass.

Thanks TPoser,
I've just knocked them off (3M) on a domestic I'm doing in the morning at 7.30am. bling-bling.gif

I hope I'm doing this right. I've never posted here before because I am pretty much computer illiterate. Anyway, keepitcool if you are still interested I have some leftover NV 15 a 60" roll by approx 50 - 60 ft. I'm a former 3m dealer but no longer have use for it so I will give you a good deal if you want it. I check in this site fairly often so I guess I will check back to see if you want it.

When you go that dark, at night you'll have strong flashback regardless of manufacturer. (Vista V14, Panorama Slate 10, Madico ?10, Sun Tek's Symphony 15, 3M's NV 15.......) If you're not a 3M dealer, no warranty from them. If you are and have yet to have breakage/seal failure, first $300 is your's to pay.

LLumar's DR 25 - look, warranty, availabilty, ease of installation.

the NV 15 is no thicker than the NV 25 we have both on theEmbarcadero and actually you can see out pretty good it not like clear but you could see if someone was outside

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
