My friend has an integra that is getting ready for show. Our friend painted it, another laid the interior for it, and I got to tint the thing. I laid the Sunguard or Madicco amber and them some rose. check it out!

what's under the hood?

The paint was lamborghini orange on the bottom and this new crystal that is out. The blue crystal looked pretty phat, I dont know how he sprayed it. Wish I could have watched that.

we are some import junkies though, I drive a supercharged SOHC civic and had a B16 in a 91 civic with a 50 shot went 12.7 at barely 100 mph.

I am a partner in a speed shop called Tokyo Image Motorsport and we build quite a bit of imports.

Grew up with old school muscle and still have the love for it though.

i had a junkyard-parts-built turbo '88 CRX Si that did a 14.710 @ 99mph at my first-ever drag race. we built it for a total budget of something like $1940, including the purchase price of the car. always wanted to know what it would do with someone who knew how to launch it behind the wheel.

i'll never know... i sold it this past summer for a measly $1k.

note the crack in the carbon hood from the area of the scoop up to the cowl:

after the lights, the hood blew off. if you look close, you can see it in the video at the very end.

That paint looks like it may be from the Alsa corporation, they got some bad ass colors over there, check it out at Alsa corp. .com!

Off-topic I know, but the top section of the paint on that Integra is something called Marbelizer by House of Kolor (or something similar by a competitor).

Basically, after laying down a colored basecoat (in this case, navy blue) and letting it dry, you spray a thick, heavy coat of the marbelizer (in this case, silver), and while it's still wet you lay a sheet of saran-wrap over it, smooth it down, and pull it off. Depending on how many wrinkles/creases end up in the plastic wrap, and how you pull it off, you can get some crazy patterns!

Someone needs to make tint like that!

Mr. P Funk, I asked my buddy about the paint he laid. Yall gotta check out the site www.lectrafinish.com. It is a crystal paint, I guess you lay the first layer,like P Funk was saying dark blue, the crystal paint is water based or something which causes the water-oil kinda look, and then another layer of paint, wipe it all off and clear coat. Im not a painter but somethin like that. The website has all kinds of phat paint jobs and alot of the crystal paint. Its the same company that has a chrome paint they put on a MR2 that is insane.
