don't listen to what you tell them. I had a flat job today and the customer was unhappy with the finished job. not because of film selectoin or install but because she said that "it didn't do what she expected". What. I told her that where ever it is brighter is where you will be able to see. Cusotmers always assume that you can see out but not in. SO i always explain how tint works and the only way to get that effect is one way mirror process$$$. always explain. Now if they don't listen .... but I tell them.

so I look at her setup, lighting outside and layout inside. Appears that the streetlight outside, 20' away from driveway , will overpower and 100w bulb in the room. long story short, streetlight doesn't work and nearest light is about 100 yards away. so needless to say the front of house is always dark at night. ok now the room that she was worried about is really two rooms away from the install.dinning room and living room inbetween, the Kitchen, and only a doorway is visalbe, not even 1/4 of kitchen. now ask what type of lights are in the kitchen? hint not a 100 w anything.

so only at night can u see in the kitchen. I told her to call the city to get the street light fixed, then I will come back out and go from there. I tell you customers can make things so complex.

then asked me if I felt ok taking her money even though it was not what she expected. sweat.gif inot.gif
time and material are used. can u give that back? grinning_and_saying_no.gif
but i will try to please all my customers thumb.gif

I always ask why they want tinted windows. If they say they want protection from UV or to cut the heat, I'll continue with the call. If they say that they want privacy during the day, I'll still talk biz. But if they want privacy during the night, I'll tell em that the ONLY way to get that is with blinds, drapes, or paint orngbiggrin.gif
Also I'll steer away if they want the glare off the TV. It seems those people you can never satisfy dunno.gif

no matter how careful you are, they always try to find a way to get a "free" job."

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
