How about a film that never creases or burns. No matter what.
I agree with MDOG here, shrink both ways... then I wouldn't have to stand and think: "Now how did I cut this one off the roll?" when shrinking a quarter window.
(MDOG @ Jul 20 2003, 09:32 PM) bar none #1 thing make a auto film that will shrink both ways. Isnt Someone working on that?
Someone has to come up with a better product for tint removal! Especially the stuff that has been on for 20 yrs. The longer window tinting is around (20+ yrs), the more someone needs to develop a product to remove the old film without harming the rear defroster or the windowtinter! I know I live in a fantasy land

I agree, something nontoxic, just wax on, wax off.
Or design the film to break down with a certain solution.
3M says they have the technology to make it shrink both ways.
So do I....Jump in Lake Michigan, the water is about 60 degrees...
ROFL @ OT!
Actually OT, would YOU notice? (Chicks Tinting @ Jul 29 2003, 11:44 AM) 3M says they have the technology to make it shrink both ways. They (number letter company) can't get their film to shrink in one direction without tuggin' and yankin' (our chain). Having been on a plant tour and explained the film making process, you can rest assured that film is not going to shrink both ways anytime soon (Especially as well as some of the best shrinking films out there). Look at that Mad film as an example of contouring your illusions of shrinking both directions. Nice thought and wish, though...
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
