2000-2003 models front wheels falling off

The front ball joints on these models are coming apart out of the blue and the wheel comes off.

You guys with DAKOTAS AND DURANGOS better check into this. i just saw it on the news.

I heard yesterday that they found this problem last march and are just now recalling! What a bunch of pricks!

yeah, i saw a guy picking his nose the other day, and you were the first person i thought of.

Dodge was quoted as saying "We dont see this as a dangerous problem".

I just rented a Durango to drive from SD to the Grand Canyon over Thanksgiving and about 100 miles from SD outside of El Centro at 10pm the rear wheel comes off the rim going 80mph with the wife driving..True story.and no jack but with AAA we were back on the road in one hour on the spare..
