for mobile, try Vinyl. detailing, stereo's ,
All of the above are good ideas, also try selling some auto accessories. Items like vent visors, bug shields, vanity plates...etc. are low cost items that can be marked up nicely. Plus you don't need much room to display them, somewhere near your waiting room will undoubtably catch the customer's eye and often times lead to an impulse buy.
Personally I can't stand accessories. We've done 'em for years. If I could I throw all my displays in the garbage I would do cartwheels around the store. There are always issues with accessories. Not the right color, not the right year, doesn' fit properly, needs a little tweekin', needs drilling when it shouldn't, "I thought it would wrap around more", "I thought they'd be wider", ...............

Electronics are a good sell. No color issues with remote starters, keyless entry, or audio equipment. Yes, it is a study of new model wiring, etc., but with the right tools, it's not too bad.
With the cccccold winters around here, doing glass tinting only would not pay the mortgage for four months of the year. Remote starters/keyless entry are my biggest secondary seller after tint. Sorry Exacto...but for 25 years, that's exactly what I've been doing...tint and only tint. My house is almost paid off. I hear ya. Lately, with the amount of tinting that I have been doing these last couple of months, I really wouldn't need to do any other accessories to stay in business. It is quite nice to have an alternative to tinting now and then. With the temperature of our shop, I actually prefer not tinting when it's below 20 degrees F.
These are very profitable.
Any business endeavor will undoubtably have its headaches, I mean you DO tint windows, and if you haven't experienced any problems with customers in that field then your the best I've ever heard of. Don't be scared, take a little risk, you don't have to throw down a bunch of money or anything. And the more azzholez you deal with the better you get at doing it.
Pop-up sunroofs been veddy veddy good to me, spoilers too. Try Donmar out of jacksonville Fla, or California Dream spoilers. I pay --- dollars for a pre painted spoiler delivered, and sell it for XXXXX. they are about a 30 minute install for a newbie, come prepainted (exact match). GREAT profit. But as was said before, you ARE a tinter. Be market specific.
do some detailing, tons of people want their car cleaned

[*]271878[/*] well you either TINT or you PPF, which one is it? PPF is real time consuming, i do it as well, but customer has to be real patient.
I am offering PPF and tint when I open in May. The PPF will be mobile dealership work early in the week and I will tackle the last three days of it with Tint and other PPF out of the shop. Fingers crossed, with a lot of networking and direct mail.
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
