Full Version: the new charger
got one coming in a week guy said it the first sold in pa ..i don't know about that but it is going to be my first one...from the pics the sides look like a 300 m but taller..the back looks big and round....
Looks like a Magnum without the wagon part.
I didn't think they came out 'til June 1st If it is like the Magnum the roll ups are pretty easy, The top screw on door panel comes out, then pull back slightly and belt molding pops right up. Should be easy car, I haven't seen the BG yet though.
Rear door glass looks kinda funny, but all in all looks do-able.
be sure to let us know how that comes out
looks like a easy one to me
charger? why a 4 door?
Looks alot like the Chrisler Insipid. Probably built just as well.
they should just brought out this one instead
that is way better...they should have
i agree that one looks much better.
vehicle was way easy no rear deck to be pulled....doors are like a c300...

Sky high BG cam!!!!
I just did one the yesterday and it was just like a magnum.
The four doors on the one I did needed to be shrunk and the rear window was a piece of cake.
I've done a couple so far, pulled the seals jsut liek the rest of the cheap Chryslers....Click to view attachment

How in the world could you compair those two cars the charger rises above the rest. expecually when the srt comes out mustang, and other similar car class will be out of the compition. HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT ABOUT THE CHARGER you must not have done your research pity on you
did one yesterday - pretty simple
I have one question though How in the heck did you get the rear door window seals back in - they are long enough to wrap around the friggin car??? thanks
Why even pull anything off a car that's a walk in the park to tint?

Any problems with the thick lines at the top of the bg? It looks like there's decent spacing between them and it might be ok. Did you continue your film right over them? The curvature of the glass also increases right there. Thanks. Customer is a bit worried about pulling anything off. It's a numbered Daytona model. Seals in!
Worried about what? Do they really think it's going to be a classic some day?!

Did a new Charger Fri. , neat car to tint . One screw on door latch and pulled seals , looking at previous posts concerning installing seals back in . I used my mounting solution on em' and slid them right back in , slightly difficult but pretty simple . Panels look easy to pull and may do that on next one . B/ g was an easy enough affair with no drama though .
Doing one today and one tomorrow. I can't wait.
Nothing unexpected.
The back glass needs alot of shrinking, but it's definitely not a difficult shrink by anymeans.
very neat car!! Had very good luck just taking the one screw out and pulling the gaskey out!! Very easy to do!
I have done like 15 of these from the dealer, its like they are giving them away or something. No need to pull the screw out to get seals out. Just pull back on the panel, its flimsy, and pull the seal out from the middle. To install pull back panel, wet inside of seal and slide one side in,then other and finish pressing in the middle. The back windows are getting on my nerves, a little too long. I honestly could care less if I ever see another one ever again. it SOO retro. its so played out.
i have done thirty plus and they are absolutely cake maybe not for hte beginner but definately easy set your h lock a little high and stretch the top and i have never pulled a screw out for the seals they just pop out with ease,
i have seen a few of these running around town, i noticed on a few of them having contaminents in the pass windows back corners, is that hard to keep clean or is it just the tinter...
you called me a post hoe, so I'm not going to respond
yes it is one of the harder areas to do if you do not take out the seal, if you do take out hte seal there should be nothiing in the window
thought I'd put my two cents in. I did one with vent shades and I wanted to kill my self. It took me 5 hours to get it tinted, washed, and out the door. After a 8 hour work day at the day job at that. BG took me a while. I couldn't get my ivory soap to lather right and it make shrinking a pain. I had to wet check it twice.

[*]325978[/*] went to the top - lines werent a problem -the car was easy I just wish I hadnt pulled the seals good luck ill use the window to help myself on reinstalling the rubbers, ill even add soapy water to help slide them back in place. works good for me each time. as far as using the windows ill roll then alll the way down and start sliding the molding in place. if it become to tight i roll the windo up to the point that the moldine is not into place (close to the top) then as im placing pressure on the seal in the downward motion, i roll the window down. at this point the molding should travel with the window. "this makes it a cake walk ever time"
