Full Version: rim backspacing

toodark
I have a 83 GMC Jimmy 4X4 fullsize and I cant find out what the backspacing is for my stock rims. I found a set of rims and tires off of a Dodge Ram and was wondering if they would fix my truck

I do not now the backspacing on s-10 stock rims, but do the dodge rims have the same bolt circle as the s-10 rims??

S-10? It is the full size Jimmy.

I would remove the wheel, lay it face down.
Put a straight edge across the wheel and measure down to the bolt landing that goes against the drum.
Compare that to the Dodge measurement and go from there.
Make sure the bolt pattern and spacing are the same also. twocents.gif

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
