Got called out to quote a home I did about 11 years ago in Madico Clear 400 security film.
On questioning the same owner "how it has been holding up?" He replies "good except for one pane."
Facing due west with no eave, a group of 4 large panes side by side are still excellent except for one.
It is full of adhesive failure bubbles

about the size of an inch in diameter.
Why is this so? And why does this happen?
This is not a rare occurrence for I have seen it often in Madico PS film over the years. All the same the performance has been darn good.

I have my suspicions and had an experiment in the works to confirm or dispell my theory, but the tornado that hit here last fall took away the glass panels I'd had out in the sun for almost a year.
Still have yet to begin the experiment again.
Stay tuned... I may have input sometime next summer...
