Hey Tint Peoples!!! My first post on this site.....here's my question.

How do I remove the old adhesive from a sliding glass door? hmmmmmmm.gif

I'm new to the biz and have a slider that I am using in my garage to do cuts when I work on cars, ( I'm a cheap F***er I know) It had tint on it which I stripped, but now I have the adhesive....which is still on there that I am trying to get off......any tricks of the trade anybody wants to share??

Any and all posts most appreciated!!

Thanks

Welcome to the board.

Soak it with soapy water and have at it with a 6 inch stainless razor blade like this one.

or you can use a hyde scraper, its a 4 inch, not as wide but it is longer and you can get more leverage out of it.

with the soapy water on it ofcourse

nono.gif I thought about that, however, although new to the tint scene, I take pride in myself and my work. MattMan_foshizzle.gif MattMan_foshizzle.gif MattMan_foshizzle.gif

If I were a customer and seen that crappy looking mess behind the glass, I'd be worried my vehicle would look the same.

aint.gif thanks for your twocents.gif anyhow!

One thing to consider:

when you start cutting film on the slider, it will eventually get scratched to hell.

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
