Devil with bad attitude
Just wondering how many of you in flat glass do cold calling?
I do quite a lot of it and example is attached of one that I picked up for a cool $500 on the day. (LHS of the building)
To me it's no different to seeing it on the ground and making an effort to pick it up for free.
Interesting thing about it was only a week before had they invited some other tint company in for a quote and they never closed the sale. inot.gif

Great for boosting commercial sales, but for residential I would suggest you not dress in a white shirt and tie. evilgrin.gif

Yeah, I cold called a few 24 hour work out places. Almost got the sale with one.

I'm supposed to come back in the fall before his busy season because right before summer is his dead season. So I will be following up next month.

Sadly, most places plan ahead here and have the building facing north!

Dan - are you near Jackson MN??
darkdan
Less than 2 hours away.

Need help?
Roach
No, I have friends in Jackson... Didn't know how far away you were from there. Been a while since I was out visiting them though... That was a cool vacation... road trip from NJ to MN. smile22.gif

you'd be surprised how many people respond by saying "you know, i was thinking of something like that" when you just stop in to speak with them, drop off a card or whatever thumb.gif

When I have slow times I sometimes go around and network with people and leave a card or two.
It is a real sales booster for slow times. Good for word of mouth as well.

I just got another today at a school.
I had done work there about 12 months ago in their staffroom and I remembered the principal talking about needing to do the window behind him but they never went with it due to budgetry constraints.
I cold called it, and got the job on the spot this time. Nice to as it was a 58" X 59" pane at face height. $160 for doing hardly nothing.
I love them jobs. evilgrin.gif

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
