has anyone else ran across this and how did you go about it?
i just started renting a bay that is about 1500 square feet. its really plain and its all i need to just do window tinting. all i have in there pulling power are the few fl. lights and my heat gun. the bay is connected to a bigger shop that is about 4000 sq.ft.. What we did was close off the only opening between the two building so that they are totally seperate. the only thing we share is the same meter base. is there a way to find out how much i use of the total or should i just be paying a percentage???

Look at everything that will potentially draw power and see how many watts it states. This is the watt per hour rate that equipment draws power at.
A heat gun can pull 1500 watts. Used for an hour = 1500 watts per hour x 20 days = 30 kWh.
Same with light bulbs... 40 watt bulb used 10 hours = 400 watts x 20 days = 8000 watts = 8 kWh x cost of 1 kWh for commercial use... usually more costly than residential.
