Full Version: Bad edges

FastBackJack
Has anyone else noticed this on the 03 and 04 models of Chevy and GMC p-ups? The edges of the roll-ups are all grainy and very course. The 02's and earlier were great. Able to make a nice clean beveled edge. But now the edges are all messed up and its hard to get a good edge. I dunno, maybe its just the ones in CA. dunno.gif

I've noticed it too. The inside seems a bit smoother than the outside, so I do um wrong side out... or in ... hmmmmmmm.gif . Seems to help. orngbiggrin.gif

There used to be some 4 doors (...don't remember which ones off hand) that had a real sharp bevel on the top. Nice and smooth but I had to really shave the poop out of them upwards to get on that bevel, and it was wobbly looking but you couldn't do it head on because of the gap the bevel left. Looked fine once the film was on 'cause the bevel kinda hid the edge...but I hated cutting those. evileye.gif
Exact-Oh
I have noticed it too. I have used the BS solution, cut them on the inside.

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
