help with 791 xv

The alarm on my car wich is a 791 xv viper does not go off with the transmitter nor with the valet button. when i press the key pad on the transmitter it makes the sound like if it was out of range and I'm right next to the car. I have a stock alarm also.
please advise me on how I can resolve the matter

Check the antenna

I had that problem with my car it had fallen down and I had the same problem with the remote
