Full Version: help with a 93 sable
I have been trying to ting my rear window on my 93 sable and i have gone throught 2 sheets of tint. so i decided to research this a lil bit some people say to use just one single pieace and others say to cut it in strips is there a trick to puttin the tint on? every time i get a bunce of air bubbels that i cant get out and when i go over them with the squeegie it makes a crease i cant get out can some one please help me thanks Rob

This should help you out if you are going to tint it yourself...but don't expect it to look like a professional job your first time.

i see...
Basically what you are doing, is trying to wrap a piece of paper around a basketball with wrinkling the paper.....it isn't going to happen.
Read up on shrinking/heat forming. It's the only way most back windows can be done in 1 or 2 pieces without having to run 6+ strips across it....it takes alot of practice, but good luck
this is why you take it to the professionals and pay for it - by the time you wrinkle it 10 more times you could have paid one of us to do it right - call a shop in your area and get it done right
or you could do what all my customers this week wanted to do....tint the sides yourself and then get a pro to do the back......i could have done 4 this week...
