Today got registered letter ,from a company after I reminded him 2 times to pay the invoice. 1) Office temperature is higher after installing the film than before. 2) (NO JOKE) There is a chemical air in the offices and many of his employees are complaining about headache. FYI :Windowsizes : 12 windows 10' x 6' and 40 windows x 4 ' x 5' Films installed Silver 20 I have never heard such f***g BS in the 20 tears that we install windowfilm

sounds like they just dont want to pay, as far as the headaches go u know there was no harmful chemicals in yer solution so you shouldnt have to worry about. The only thing I can think of as far as smell is if you had to remove film before installing.

go there, strip one window, and use a laser thermometer to demonstrate the difference in the amount of heat coming in the windows. then add the strip and retint cost for that one window on to the bill and bill 'em again.

I told them the strip one window and put thermometer 10 inches from thw window and see the difference within minutes. They refuse to do so and will hire a consultancy to actually tell them if the shiat is working yes or no.
About the headaches I just pissed my pants.!

Hmmm I smell a rat !!! and that smell is usually followed by a letter from a lawyer. Good luck GP with this one eating the film job is one thing but if it turns into a pesonal injury thing it could get real messy not to mention expensive.

Of course there are other benifits to tint that they may not be aware of, for example, they might be impressed how well tint keeps shattered glass from entering the place after some hoodlem throws a brick through each and every window!

Sounds like a hidden agenda to never intend paying the invoice. The calcs prove it's too much film to go down there and trash a blade through it. A case once again of a poor innocent tinter getting it up the clacker. Good luck! Devil

Commercial reality for flat glass Leo downunder is such that it is really difficult to get a deposit to do a job before you start. Accounting procedures, protocols in place, time to get orders processed through their internal systems, etc... Never asked for one........ Devil

If you guys think your going to get paid before or even right after a commercial job, you wont be putting up much window film. Accounts recievable is just part of running a buisness.

Try getting a cheque on completion, let alone a deposit from someone like GM. I had to wait 3 months and finally the money came from India. Devil

An almost unbelievable argument. Don't worry about a damn thing. Sounds like the owner wanted to buy window film and figured he could just stop using his AC altogether. You will get your money fo sho, good luck getting it sooner than later. That is a very unfortunate situation. I wish you luck and hope you get paid in a timely fashion.

Devil [*]332143[/*] Devil, I am dealing with commercial installations in most crazy areas - like former USSR. Believe me, here people DON'T PAY without any arguments. Very popular argument some 10 years ago was - $%#@ OFF :ahole e.t.c. Just my friens from Sweden called: Leo, please call these people with Your russian accent may be they will pay me my money . But I also never got advances - and in reality payment time in Latvia is 1-4 weeks. After 5 week I start to call people. But as I know one month after - is normal terms everywhere...Round circle - factiry buy raw materials with afterpayment also How is on the end of problem - Iraq with oil ?

I've got a big hotel going and there is no way I can squirrel a cheque out of them on the day. The owners live in Hong kong and the cheque requisition procedures is a fact of commercial life. Devil

now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
