(Speedy80 @ Jan 7 2006, 01:18 PM) I´m new in these buisness This statement scares me. Why? You don't "just buy a machine" and pound out graphics like the one you posted. You need to know how to use many different graphic art programs, have a huge art library and know colour, lpi and dpi. If you have $50,000.00 to $100,000.00 burning a hole in your pocket and don't mind 3 years before an ROI, ( return on investment ) go for it. You need to do major homework, not just ask, and I will tell you the golden answer.

you need a laminator if you are using eco solvants, or for long lasting prints and no overlays, get a thermal printer, like the edge series from gerber, the average only prints 13" but they last,
you can also get more kits from restylerschoice.com and vinylgraphics.com
both are top notch companies and will sell to almost anyone, no clubs to join.

Ok. I will help you.
Forget everything that you know about vinyl plotters.
Printing graphics is 10% machine and 90% artwork. Garbage in --------------- Garbage out.
Take all of your colour art programs and create several graphics that you are proud of and think that others will pay for. Compare those to what is out in the marketplace. Have 53 buddies look at it. Send me the artwork and I will tell you if it is worth printing at the size you require.
A vinyl printer will print exactly what it is told to print. You can't make apple pie out of dog crap.
Do the colour artwork first. Then look for a printer.

also you will want to upgrade to a good printing program like flexi sign pro.
its a great program not just for printing, but its wonderful for designing,
we do alot of semi trucks, and I can take a picture of the truck, add all the lettering, and pinstriping, and graphics, change colors and sizes and placement, let the trucker sign off on it then we put it on.
hope all goes well for you. keep us posted on what you do.

like I said before, gerber edge is a good thermol printer for long lasting prints
or if you go with an ecosolvent printer, make sure you use a cold laminator with it, and you should get 5-7 years average use.
my favorite printer and cutter would probably be on of the sumagraphics/chromagraphics machines
some will print and cut all in one
if your rolland dosnt have a RM eye on it lining up materials will suck
still plan on dropping at the least $15,000 to $60,000 on a basic machine, thats why the kits sell for what they do.

You know, after I paneled it from the bottom up, I stood back and had a good look at it and it is a 32nd out at the top. I thought about triming it, and then thought well it's only on for a year, and left it. What I didn't expect is a jackass like you to POINT it out to the world.
