I'm new and this is the first time i've got tint applied.
So it was yesterday and I had the tint put on my car, the installer said that it would look worse today because yesterday I saw a little bubble/warp/strange spot in one of my windows.
Now today I see a whole bunch of them. They told me that once the film cures it would all go away.
Is this normal, or is this bad?

normal it could possibly take up to 30 days or longer to fully dry out depending on your location

You are fine. Give it a few weeks and if something still looks pretty nasty, take it back to the shop and let them take a look at it.

(TINT @ Jan 12 2006, 05:08 PM) <<<<<<<<<<<<< [*]360341[/*] I like it and broke: its gonna take some time to dry out, if you still have it after about 2 weeks to 1 month, go back to the installer and ask nicely if this is normal?

Unfortunately, when you pick up your car the tint is NOT a finished product. There is a drying/curing process which can take up to 30 days. Longer in very cold climates. We tinters have to deal with it all the time. It doesn't matter how much we tell customers about the water, over half of them still come back in a panic, thinking its defective. Trust me, , it WILL dry out.

Unless it's a crappy job, then the miracle drying out won't save it.

I got my windows tinted 2 days ago, I notice a blotch or bubbles or it's just a blotch of something, only on 1 window. Do I have to worry?

[*]361571[/*] depends on what it is if its just moisture then it should dry out fine if its contamination then it wont dry give it a couple of weeks to fully dry out then go back to the shop you got it tinted and let them check it out if it doesnt go away welcome to the board

my favorite line is "windows are for looking through, not at", that usually curbs all there questions. of course that only works when tinting for friends and out of towners I dont mind redoing whole windows if the customer really has a problem, of course thats how its supposed to be right.

now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
