Anybody know why the brake light fuse on keep burning out?

You probally have a short somewere

17 year old wires it happens. the place to look is where things move,like the hinge and upper pedal parst. also the switch itself maybe shorting,theye are up high by the pedal & easy to get out!
good luck. chasing down a short can be a real booger!
