2003 intrepid deck removal

Hello. I just replaced some front speakers in my buddies 2003 intrepid. They were kinda a pain. Anyways, Im going to be replacing the rears for him in the next week but i coulldn't figure out how to get the rear deck out...anyone know how? Thanks, Nick

Normally many tinters would know..however I'm willing to wager not a single tinter has taken one of these out unless they are stereo installers as well

haha yea, thats what i was saying to my friend because i noticed that there was no third break light. Looks like im gonna have to find out the hard way. Like with the front doors we had the whole panel almost off when we realized the the speaker grilles just pop out. haha oh well, it was a leason learned...

on the last intrepid we installed some speakers in the back deck, we had to pull the top part of the rear seat, and then the deck should be easy to pull out. I think we put some 6 x 9's in it if I'm not mistaken.

Heres a thought...

after removing the speakers re-install the deck
then mount the speakers from the underside in the trunk
then if they ever blow.... no deck pulling necessary
