Greetings all from a newbie here in sunny Spain! I have a small signmaking business, specialising in vinyl signs and vehicle graphics. I am now abot to take the plunge into the murky world of tinting! Any help/advice/things to avoid would be most appreciated! By the way, is TinTin a Belgian tinter?? Regards Tony

WELL WELL WELL TONYK, from the sign factory, fancy you calling me pretending to be a real estate, a few kilometres from me, and asking for some prices. and where i am, I get it all the time from newbies here, but they usually get a mate to do it for them, really, a real estate would want clients to see into his window. Why not have the courage to introduce yourself properly instead of cheating your why around, I think we have met before anyway when I came into your factory last year offering my services to you. No wonder you did not answer my question as too where you are, cos 20 minutes later after viewing my web site you left a message, prentending to be a client Yes welcome to the murky world of tinting, where newbies in the business 5 minutes aint got anything better to do than call the competitor and cheat his way into his pricing. if you want i can sell you film at a good price Things to avoid, the first paragraph above, answer to your question

Thanks for the reply, but I must admit to being a bit confusssed!!! When did you come into my sign factory?? Sure you are not confusing me with someone else who was a previous proprietor? Not sure we have met personally, but I got the info from your site after searching for "window film spain" on google. Try it, you've got a good rating!!!!! As discussed this morning, our client is an estate agency, here in Alhaurin. We have done all of the vinyl work on the windows and now need to quote on the solar stuff. Not sure I appreciate the "cheating" tag. IApologies for any misunderstaning/panic/paranoia etc!! What I have done is quoted the customer, using your price as the base, plus our mark up. We have not, as yet, done any window work, although we are looking at offering it as another service. As we are pretty imited on experience, obviously I called a local "expert" namely you! Perhaps that was not made clear to you? Think that you may have shot off on the wrong tack - I don't envisge us as competitors, but by knowing more we could use you as a supplier, same as we do with printers, designers etc. I will try and call you in the morning and maybe we could get back in the starting blocks??!! Rubbish , you have come on here looking for advice, and i asked you where in Spain you were, you have looked at my web from my reply, and called afetr. And as to all that about your client, you introduced yourself as a real estate claiming you wanted film.

There is more than enough in this area, to be honest they been having sun here since the year dot, and there are other ways that are more popular for sun control, and film isnt one of them.
I may know Simon, or may not, as I use to buy from CPF in Pompey many years ago, thats if he was there then.

Anyway tonyK, we can still do some business if you wanted, at no risk to you financially, ie trashing film, buying in stock and not selling, and wasting money other wise, You can sub the work out to me and add your bit on top like I do with other companies. You can also buy my blinds at a trade price, which are fantastic for sun control. Or there is a maybe that you may want to do some training on installation and product knowledge

Nothing like getting caught out with your pants down.
Same thing happened to me....a competitor posing as a potential client wanted photo examples of my white frost work....guess where I found my best job photo? On his friggin website. I can tell you it didn't last there long with the threat of legal action pending. I really fired a rocket up his arse. Scoundrel! Devil

Only think I need support in Spain, I need a man, like Billy in UK, who want make some additional Eur, very reasanable amount I have stock possibilitites, I have contact persons (one real Spanish man - my friend in my stuff here, but his son in Spain), so I need only partner....There is some place 4 Leo My stock is largest in EU now, last week I passed Xplosion tests, I passed EN356 & EN12600 and the main - I am soft capitalist

[*]380714[/*] We have caller ID'z also here in old poor Latvia...But sometimes they don't work - for example in America You have different cellular phone system One more thing about caller ID. Lot of people ask operator to connect 'em with DARTZ direct, so we can see only operator number. P.S. My first capitalist MONEY I made making phones with caller ID. And REAL DARTS mean (trans;ating from latvian) Differant Appliances Radio Technic S was added later, from Latvian language, it normal end of word with S

Fear, you may think that all this sunshine there is gonna be an abundance of film work, but not so, theres been sun in them there hills since the year dot, and film is not a first choice, thats why every man and his dog is into blinds and canopies. And as for cars thats tough to, very cheap here to tint a car, less than 120 quid for rear and 2 sides, thats if they do decide to arrive for the appointment, viva Espaņia
