Film, $160, Watching.....PRICELESS!!!

We were contacted by a company to sell them some film. Seems that they had 18 windows 58x76. He was gonna do it himself. I told my friend Matt that it would be worth GIVING him the film for one or two windows, just to watch him try. (call me @#$% )
SO. I gave dude the film for two windows, with the proviso that I get to video the install. The result, we not only got some ABSOLUTELY hilarious video, we also got the job!!! (Sometimes, there IS justice!!!) I just wish I could post the video
Somehow, I'll upload it, and post the URL. Definately worth seeing!

Reminds of the time I went to see my Dad in Omaha... had a few cars lined up to tint for extra $... when I left to go home dad asked if he could have the leftovers... I left him what was left on a 40 inch roll of HP auto film.

A couple weeks later he calls... asks... are you suppose to use soap in the water when applying the film?

Would have loved to be a fly on the wall while he was trying that storm window that goes in front of a picture window.

You gotta hurry up and find a place to host that video.

I'll send it as soon as I get back from Fla. Its aboiut 1.8 Gigs before editing, and I really only want to edit very little. The head scratching, standing around trying to get his mind around it. TOO COOL! He had a couple of scraps to work with so he'd be able to get an idea of what he was working with!! FlyPaper, I think he called it!! (GOD, I am such an AZZ!! I love it!! )

(WHASSSUUP MIKE!!!)I just got back last week, and when I find the tape (My office is trashed) I'll convert it to VCD and some how getit to Ric or try and upload it myself. sorry for the delay guys, I was chasing big bucks. I'm not even a tint installer and I want to see this video. I design home theaters part-time(In mgt w/ UPS full-time)and it is funny when people want a high end look by taking a cheapo way out and still have to you back for help or to take over. I do understand that we were all in the same position in our respective fields when we were starting out with not much knowledge. We make it look easy, b/c we do it day in and day out and have certifications by sitting in classes. People need to recognize their limits. Just b/c you can throw a baseball does not mean you should be playing in MLB. HURRY PUT UP THE VIDEO.

I love it when customers do that. If you end up doing the job, they are usually amazed by the quality of a PROFESSIONAL installation. "You want how much to do my back window? I can get the film at Autozone for $6!!". Go nuts batman.... cant wait to see the video though....

Talked to Key and he's still lookin' for the vid in that mess of a garage.........he's working on it though!

The latest news on the vid is his converter is shot so he has no way of converting the vhs tape to digital, I think he's going to send it somewhere to have it done.
