you might want to look into shrinking the film. i believe there are tips on this site somewhere. you can eventually do that one in just one piece.

Just quit, there are enough tinters in this world for the time being. Maybe you should try taking up hang gliding or something...people are always dying doing that and there just aren't enough people stepping up to take their place. Just messing with you. Read up on the tips and just keep practicing. There is no easy way or quick advise that will take the learning curve away. Mastering the art of window tinting takes years, so keep at it if you are serious and never look back.

ok so when you do this shrink method.....all that is for, is to get it perfectly trimmed to the right size correct? After doing the shrink method, you then go to the inside of the rear window and apply like normal? Or is there something different that you do? Thanks in advance.

Why do you people put bogus years of experiance like, "2" when you obviosly do not know a thing about tinting?????!! Sorry to crap here but that just bugs me. and to answer your question, you need to clean the window before you slap that tint up there.

ok thank you for your awesome information. I do have about 2 years experience, not solid, and I am in no way calling my self an expert or anything. I have tinted 4 cars, or approx. 20-25 windows.
My question was no where near if the window needed to be cleaned or not.......I am wondering, because I have never done this shrink method...that what exactly its purpose is. To me it seems the reason you do the shrink method is to get the film trimmed to precisely the size it needs to be, then you apply on the inside like all other windows...correct? Or If i am wrong, please tell me what the purpose of the shrink method is, or if you think I should just go ahead and try it with strips.
Also - last minute thing, will the rear window defrost work if its stripped...or full sheet (shrink method) i really dont care if it does or not, don't really need it in florida, but I was just curious. Thanks again.

The shrink is to heat shrink or mold the film to the shape of the glass. OK lay the film on the back window and see what it does. For simple explanation terms the film will look wavy Now the point is to heat the film until it shrinks to the shape of the glass. There are many methods to do this so do some research on here (its all in here) After you shrink the film trim to fit and install

alrighty sweet, well i did it and it turned out great, so thanks for all the help, my only question now is will my rear defrost work with the tint on there in 1 piece? really it doesnt matter...but I am just curious as to if it will mess up the tint if I turned it on.
