I was wondering what everyone uses to schedule appointments and stuff.... Currently I write it down in my planner book, but that's really not cutting it anymore. I've been forgetting things (non-tint related) and I know *when* I get busy I'm going to miss something, which I wanna avoid.

We use a bespoke piece of software to manage our entire business.
It caters for:
- Online instant quotes, - Phone Quotes, - Full calendar & Scheduling for both our mobile and unit schedules, - Order placing, Invoicing and payments - Management reporting & Analysis - Knowledge base and Template management - Tips & Tricks - Company (Customer) statements etc etc.
This is a comprehensive solution that we have been developing with a small software firm alongside our tinting business.
As I understand it it will be a package available in less than 12 months.
Check out the web front end to our quote system by going to our web site.

You mean the one with Outlook?? I was thinking of using that, but I really don't wanna use outlook for email. (Not that I would have to - I could just use the calendar part of it)
I found one program I like, but it's like $300. There's another one, but I can't seem to find anyway to print it out... Which seems odd, so I must be missing something.
I'm just surprised QuickBooks doesn't have anything.

get a palm pilot or a treo phone or blackberry or something like that. This way you allways have your schedule with you, and it will beep when you have something to do. They can all be hot linked into your pc or vice versa. the comp software is good for someone who is in thier shop all day everyday, but that is not your case. this way when you have an appt for lets say a dentist. You can just throw it into your palm or whatever as soon as you make it. The same ith a tint appt then you cant forget anything. Unless of course you forget to put the info in your palm

Its what we use
jobs get entered in with drop down windows and drag and drop scheduling
Employees can get the days work from any computer or moblie device
It allows accounts to enter jobs, view job status, print invoices ect (no phone calls "when are you getting here ? is this job complete?)
it cuts down the BS phone calls between accounts and employees
I can get you a 1 month trial PM me

Are you kidding me allowing the customers to set up when they get the job done. maybe I can have them set the price as well.

I am very anti-MS, although I use WinXp and currently using Office 2007 Beta2... I was just interested in a non-MS solution. Still looking - although not as much as before.
Jon - heh.. I didn't realize that you joined TD like 3 users after I did. What are the odds of that!?!

Roach- Try www.same-page.com a web based intranet and scheduling program. It works great for us.
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
