New Ceramic Madico Film??

Custom Search

u078356
I am hearing from a local auto tinting shop that Madico now has a ceramic-based equivilent to the Huper Optik lines of auto tint.

I have looked at the Madico web site and even contacted Madico and they know nothing of this. I contacted a Madico distributor here and Texas and learned that Madico does have two products: MAC-3000 and MAC-4000.

I have searched the forums here and found nothing about these.

DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS?!?!?!

Thanks!

Madico is having their national dealer meeting today so you probably won't get much info on it until next week. I'm sure they introduced the product to their dealers this morning.

A good question to ask them is "what is the difference between their ceramic -vs- HO's besides the price?"

My local shop indicated that this product had been out for about 9 months. It had the same qualities as HO, but it was single ply rather than dual, which made installation on curved windows much easier.

Right now, they are charging me the same amount as they quoted for HO.

Hmmm. Same price for both films? Interesting. Like apples to apples...

I would now contact HO and ask if their ceramic film is the same as Madico's and see if you are really comparing apples to apples. We are not allowed to get into too much detail about the difference between film brands on this board. Sorry.

Hoping I can avoid details... The installer (not the salesbeast) indicated that Madico provided HO details in non-ceramic films in exchange for HO providing Madico details in ceramics. Sounded a bit "interesting" to me, since it would appear that HO had a corner on the ceramic market.

I will see in about 2 hours... The installer assures me this is a true ceramic product, equivilent in most areas to HO and better in IR resistence.

Tell the installer that's not the real story, he needs to check his facts. IR is a loaded term that is not used accurately by many so don't let that be your deciding factor. If the film looks good, lasts long, warranty is good, install is good, and you are happy, then thumb.gifs

Its a one ply Ceramic, Mac-3000, , 4000 and 6000 is what I have seen. Its a little more reflective than the Huper offering.
Devil with bad attitude
Haven't heard of it downunder yet but I believe there is a new film they call metal edge coming that is new.
Could that be the animal?

metal edge is an auto film that has some reflectivity, like platinum plus

A follow-up...

I am now the first customer in the area to have the new Madico ceramic tint, MAC-3000, installed on my new 2007 Toyota Camry.

Looks pretty good! The installer said that it went on well and he didn't have any problems.

Lifetime warranty. A bit less than the HO price he had quoted me.

Now I just hope it holds up...

Glad you are happy with it. That's a new film, Madico has not had a lot of time to test it. Let us know if it does not hold up.

No I do not work for Madico. But I do not like Huper either... Huper is very misleading about their Products. I know Users in Russia, and I can not believe some of the things they've shown me...

I like the Warranty of the New Ceramic, I found it easy to install.. Now, I want to know how the Product by Madico will hold up...

This site is about sharing knowledge. I want to know more about Madico's new Products. I can't find anything on their website. So I listed everything I know, and how I feel about it.

Advertising is telling people about different Companies, offering Deals, etc..
I am not Advertising, I have not even told anyone where my Shops are located...

By the way, anyone in the Window Film Industry, already knows about: Madico, SunTek, Huper, CP. Other small but also fairly large Companies include: Hanita, and many others..

If someone knows more about this new Product please list PROS and CONS of Madico's Ceramic.
If someone knows more about Huper's PROS and CONS please list those too.

It would be nice to see a comparison of both Products =)

Seems more like you are advertising with the Link of your shop after each Posting...

Thats more of Advertising then talking about a new Product.
