I had to squeeze in between a moving escalator and a wall to film the glass yesterday. I had about 2' of space along the whole length of the 6 panes.
The moving rubber hand rail got my arse a couple of times. Flaugh.gif

Then a security guard got me and asked if I had done an occupational health and safety induction course? wtfbiatch.gif
What a lot of crap.
They marched me off to centre management like some shackled con and I was waived because I only had 10 minutes of work left to install.

Not happy.

Installed Some film in an elevator shaft in Atlantic City thumb.gif bout 12 years ago..
We rigged a platform made out of 3/4 inch pylwood and placed it on top of the actual elavator car/box whatever you call it.

A casino maintence man swithced the control to manual and we would install the film then ride the down to the next set of panels.

When we got to 1st floor we got off and he raised the elavator car, bypassed the doors, and we installed that set of panels with the car about a foot above our heads..
Talk about dirt and dust and every type of rodent crap from 30 + years ...

Job came out great,,,,R-Gold 15.... Still there looking good!

Only last week I had to film 3 elevators where the feature glass was demetalising and they wanted to cover up the blotches with some reflective silver matte.
Was not fun down on my knees nearly getting motion sickness.
They wouldn't switch off the lift 'cause people might get frustrated having to wait for one of the other 2. What about me? grinning_and_saying_no.gif

Worst car install was three Canine units here in Dover. They had the rear seat removed along with the door panels which were replaced with sheets of stainless steel. There was a cadge up in the rear windw with only about a 12X12 access hole in the center to access the rear window. Side doors also had metal grates over the glass that were hinged to the door.

The only Flat jobs that come to mind were the CAT Urine smelling houses in Compton that we went to in the 80's to install safety film (LCL 600)on the sliders so that they would get through escroe. barfing.gif But I am sure there were worse jobs that I have done in the past, its just the CAT PEE jobs stick out in my mind the most. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
