Need tint in NYC + tint law question.

Hi.

I am looking for a tint shop in NYC or Westchester. I am in southern westchester.

Can anyone recommend a shop around the Bronx? A place where I can get a decent job. I could also head to Queens. I've found the shop owned by "the art of tint" guy, and seems to pretty good, but I thought I'd just ask for other recommendations. Anyone?

I am pretty much settled on using LLumar or SolarGard NR films, they seem to be a good deal. I think they are both color stable, and have good warranties. Though, I am confused about NYS laws and the type of tint I can get. As I understand it:

1. Front=70% VLT, Back=70% VLT, Rear=Go Wild!
2. However, if the vehicle has outside rear-view mirrors on both sides that provide full view of behind the vehicle, then the back windows can be as dark as wanted ( Wouldn't then any vehicle have rear-view mirrors?. )

Is this right? wrong? anyone care to make this clear?. Last thing I wanna do is get tickets over tint. Also, would a 35 film for the front be technically !legal? given that most windows already transmit about 80% VLT?. I was kind of thinking getting 35 all around, but it is too dark for front, then what are options for the front?

Also. why is it that all SUV's (I don't drive one), seem to have "limo" tint in back and rear, and nothing on front windows?

Hey, whats going on?

I work out of my Manhattan shop Monday - Friday, and I'm in Brooklyn on Saturdays. Check out my site and give me a call. As far as the laws, they are nuts here!! Its legal for a SUV, but not a 4 door car. 35% all around will get you pulled over.

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
