Full Version: Is this acceptable?

01 TA
I just got tint put on my car, and I'm curious if this problem is normal.

I have an area of spots in the tint that is about fingerprint sized on the driver side door. I can tell the installer tried to work on it as there are a couple of 1.5 inch long scratches in the tint. The main thing that bothers me is that it is in my line of sight to the side mirror. So I see it whenever I look at the mirror.

Is this a normal/acceptable thing to have with tint? I know perfection isn't possible, but tint scratched by the installers? Maybe I'm expecting too much, which is why I'm asking if it is normal or not.

(In case it matters, the tint is Formula One, Pinnacle series).

Thank you.

The best thing to do is take it back to the shop that did the work, and show them your concerns.

Yes, I was planning on going back to talk with them about it. I just wanted to check if I was being unreasonable or not.

Thanks for the replies.

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
