you guys suckk
the backglass is the same as the old s class, and you even have room behind the rear break light , so you done have to remove it .
the doors, gaskets are way low so no tucking or pullin panels. im just careful of my water useage on the roll ups, because of the electrical. good luck.... I've got an S550 coming up next week. Is the glass double-paned like the older S class and new ML? The customer wants limo but they may be relagated to 35% if it is in fact double -paned glass. Thanks for any info. Newbie here, but been tinting cars for 15 years.

I hope all you guys that don't pop panels are letting your customers know that in a month or so, all 4 doors windows will be all scratched up. It has become our job now as professional tinters to add felt to these cars. If you aren't doing so, you are just another hack out there giving the rest of us a bad name. Get with the program.

Get with the program. why is it our job to furnish something the manufacturer failed to do something right in the first place? why is it your responsibility to apply felt? we are tinters, not manufacturers of cars. Dealers/Service writers give it rats azz if we apply felt on cars or not, when a car does not get tinted and the seals never get felted, the glass starts scratching, what do you say then? they still dont give a crap. id watch how express yourself out here calling anyone a h@ck on here since you dont know anyone here personallly. h@ck
well said.

OK sorry for the h@ck comment. I have a MB and all my windows scratched up so I know
what I'm talking about. We have to add felt, it is our job or don't tint the car. It's like painting a car but not priming first. Skipping an important step when tinting a Benz in my opinion makes you a h@ck. Charge more for it, I do. QUOTE (tinter101 @ Mar 28 2007, 08:07 AM) [*]494181[/*] OK sorry for the h@ck comment. If you have a "MB" and you are a so called tinter, then why didnt you tint and felt it yourself? Then you wouldnt have had that problem and you wouldnt be on tintdude calling other tinters HACKS!
Ive been tinting these cars since august of 06. i have never pulled a pannel or applied felt. never had a comeback for a scratch once.
just curious if anyone has metered the factory tint on these. ![]() jwf sp20%
OK, to clear it up, I bought my Benz with tint on it and it was all scratched up because the HACK that did it didn't take 10 minutes to put felt on it.
Why is it hard for you guys to tell the customer of a manufacturer problem that will affect the outcome of what you are doing? All I'm saying is that once you know of an issue like this and you choose to not tell the customer about it, it makes you look like a newbie.
