Hey I was wondering how you guys/girls post priceing in your stores? Do you go by the vehicle or by a pane/window count? Also is 10% an average discount for your dealer accounts? Thanks for your time beer.gif

we do it based on vehicle, which translates to difficutly of job, time needed to complete correctly, and film used. all factor into final price. also extra cleaning and or seat removal, ect. all that factors in.

and dealers?? depends on how much volume they send, alot? bigger discount, just a few? retail.

So do you post pricing as an average or what? I have window count prices posted and I am finding that I win some lose some and lose some but I would rather win,win ya know so I guess the only answer is is by vehicle make/model but thats a hell of a pricelist.

This is how I price my film....

1. Arm
2. Leg
3. First Born

And for dealerships, I had a couple fingers for each step just because they are a pain in the arse and don't deserve a discount or any such special treatment other than a swift kick in the berries.

I basically charge the same for "types" of cars.

I group them into, cars, trucks, suvs, wagons, etc.

Then I add on extra for cars I know I'm going to hate.

2 doors starting at ###
4 doors starting at ###
Trucks starting at ###
SUV's starting at ###

Then upsell and/or adjust for incidentals

I was thinking of x-amount per window. Say $40 per window (JUST AN EXAMPLE TO MAKE IT EASY) So if its a 2 door car but it still has 5 windows then it would be $200, but if its an SUV that is basically just the front two windows then its $80. If its a FIERO then it has three windows so It's $120. Please don't USE THAT PRICING AS I JUST MADE IT UP AND REALLY DON'T HAVE THE SLIGHTEST CLUE YET WHAT TO CHARGE.

I'm new to this, but does that sound like it works?? I figured I'd start with that and see where it takes me. Of course I wont tell the customers how I price.

I'm meeting with a Llumar rep next week, hopefully he'll give me some insight.

Right now I only detail vehicles and have for some time. I've been getting a lot of requests for tint so I'm going to see what happens.

COOL FORUM BTW!!!!

It can be a starting point, but you will quickly learn that say doing something like a camaro or corvette for $120 is just plain stupid. beer.gif
