06 town car

my mother bought an 06 town car and she has one of those damn cloth tops. my question is the third brake light is at the top of the glass i need to remove it this weekend to tint and just needed to know how to go about removing it! she had a 2000 lincoln that i did light was at the bottom and was no problem! should i put masking tape around the outside edge so that i will not burn the cloth or is their an easier way? thanks for the help

if its like the one I did last week just pull down lightly
held in with a couple of clips

heating with the cloth top is the pain in the azz
the cloth usually comes down quite a bit more which means theres more room on the inside

the last one I did i heated top -then bumped up some and did the bottom

thanks willie i hated the 2000 that she had i did it in 2000 and i wet shrank that one and had hell with the top corners! i think i will use the wet feces shrink on this one

chiatt when it comes to tinting
