the lined matrix at the top, glue or no??
other than that I have no further question
lilDetails
pro-bond at the most.....adhesion promoter. Lines like this has are "frit" lines and they will lay down very well. I have had very few issues with any such lines....

If you lay the film and have a chance to see it a week or two down the road you might see the film not laying down fully on a few spots...all that is needed once it has had time to dry is to push it down with your finger and it will be "perfect" then....
Monique
Nah, those are easy. If I remember correctly, the black lines are of the glossy variety, kinda like the Dodge Charger, which means film sticks like glue. Just rough 'em up a bit. I like to use the non scratch SOS pad on them. Happy tinting!

how in the hell where you doing that bg man ive always had those like a maxima bg with lots of small lil fingers going all the way across. your method wa wierd cause there are like no fingers what so ever.
CJ Shades
VA<---That would be dry shrinking. You proly wet shrink and pull fingers to shrink. That causes ghosting. No bueno!!!

As for the matrix at the top, I tint as normal, no glue needed. I never need glue, even for "those damn dots!"

.....hey wait....is that guy putting tint onthe outside??? I thought the tint went on the inside.......I wish I could smack every person that says that:)
VaTinterPMan
Thats how i shrunk that bg dry too. but once the film got to the top it had tons of lil fingers and they shrunk slow as hell. and all three ive done have been that way it didnt kick my ass i just had to be eaiser with it. and i never $|-|17 on that dot matrix either. I was just wondering if the solution he used soap powder wax blah blah. it just didnt look anything like mine.
BRITEworks
m-dog soap method....

CJ "m with ya I hate the people that ask that too. makes me want to rub thetre tint on the floor before installing evilgrin.gif

I did one of these today and the back glass was a pain in the arsh. It was formed really weird, I had a hard time. It was really ticking me off. I was dry shrinking, wet shrinking, and i tried the riker way. Nothing was working today. tantrum.gif I finally got it after the sixth piece. I would ancor it on the sides and the middle. I kept getting smile and frown lines going from side to side, I ended up shrinking the entire piece of tint. It must have been a weird glass, it was on a 08'. It made me want to quit tinting. dunno.gif

Maybe next time try working all excess film to the top and bottom before you do your ancors. Dont worry dude, Everyone on this site has had those pain in the @$$ cars...if we all quit after those problem cars there would be no one tinting ne more.

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
