Hi,

A couple people have told me that if I tint my rear window, which has a defroster on it, that i will wreck the tint and/or defroster. Is this true?

The only way your gonna "WRECK" the defroster is if you go with cheap materials and a shoddy install.

If you go with a cheap film now you will regret ti later because cheap film is very dificult to remove if it goes bad.

High quality Pro films are generally easier to remove if it goes bad because they are thicker and are made of better materials.

So stay away from cheap window film and get yourself a PRO film and a good installer and you will be fine.

I have always told my customers to wait 30 days after tinting b4 using the defrosters again. Had one customer turn defroster on next morning after tinting and trashed the film, had air pockets run all the way across lines on every line krazy.gif .

i just got my tints on tonight, and i noticed that (at night) i get strange glare from the rear defroster lines, where i'm guessing the tint doesn't sit flush on the window because of the raised defroster lines.

is there anything that can be done to reduce or eliminate this glare?

will it improve once the tint has had more time to cure?

i'm sure i'd get used to the problem, but i don't want to, nor do i feel i should have to. any insight you guys could give that would help me is greatly appreciated. thank you

The film is redirecting the light around the defroster lines. You will have to live with it.

Besides, who cares whats behind the car anyways gasp.gif

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
