Full Version: HELP ANYONE!!
OK so i have a 1999 silver honda accord with leather interrior, i live in North Carolina where the legal tint is 35%. When i bought my honda it already had a tint on it but i do not believe that it is a factory tint, i want anyones opinion on what percent tint i should get done i do not want too dark but i do want it to be dark enough so that people can not see in easily and it blocks out sun. I do not want it to look weird though. ANY SUGGESTIONS???
Well, it looks like you are stuck with 35%.

35% is a good lookin shade....
you can do 35% on all the doors and then go a shade darker on the backglass if it is allowed. Im not sure what is legal on the back glass.

it really needs to match what New Mexico's law is and that is 20% on the fronts, do you know how many people would be legal if that law passed. and if that law passed there would still be many many that would be illegal.

Has to net 32% on every window on a car. truck and suv dark as you want on back, 32 on doors. Where are you in NC? I can help you out if your close to New Bern. Here is a picture of 3M 35%.
Damn 35. It just looks so light... People can basically see in at any given time of day.

It just looks so light... People can basically see in at any given time of day. It's not privacy film, it's a solar control film that somewhere down the line, people thought that not being able to see in was cool and they are sadly mistaken.......deal with it. The laws are in effect to keep people who think they can see just fine at night through 5% or "always have their windows down" from getting out of control. Yes, 35% is a little on the light side, but that picture is a little deceiving as it is definitely a noticable tint even in the sunlight but that pic does look lighter than it does in front of you on the car. IMO, a 30% charcoal is the best damn looking film a guy could ask for, but it isn't legal in every state so you have to play by the rules. I have to roll my windows down to back up or see out the sides very well, and it's a 35% film on the car. 20% and darker is just asking for a problem.
What part of NC are you from?
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
