I tint for ziebart in Lansing and my boss wanted me to tint his corvette. I pride myself in my one piece rears but I am having a hard time shrinking the top of the window on the rear but it is hard to do without any creases. and hints. like heat gun angles or just a good way to do them. thanks Jeff
With 5 years this should be no problem......I say peece it.....

unfortunantly I am using the tint that the last guy liked I think is sucks though it is called madico tint. Jeff

Jeff Madico is not the easiest film to shrink, but it is one of the most forgiving, which line Charcoal, charcool, onyx? that BG is not that hard to do IMO just wet shrink it QUOTE (TINTZEUS @ Dec 20 2006, 06:29 PM) [*]457941[/*]

If it doesnt have defrosters, jsut make a nice 2 piece seam
thanks guy it is the on tint. and it has defrosters.
ok that is the onyz series, were you wet shrinking it or dry shrinking it? that doesn't matter wet shrink it and you should not have any problem with it, I assume it is a 36" roll, leave the top and bottom hang over enough to do a pull method with it that is not that hard of a window especially if you are wet shrinking it
Yeah what the true tintman said. use a 40 inch roll if you have it. just to be safe. why wet tho???? wouldnt dry be just as good. ? even with a pull techn.
I do it wet because of the shape of the glass-and because its not that curved.

Good call......on taking the time... dont want to be this dude
Don't feel bad. I have been tinting for 19 years and somehow never came across a 96 'vette until about 3 weeks ago. It took me 3 pieces of film before I got it right and I can shrink a beetle in about 3 minutes. The top corners were so curved that the tint ran out of room to shrink until I pulled on it from the start. I assumed it was going to be an easy window like a late 90's camaro until I got to the outside edge of the window. Just pull it firmly as you shrink it and you should be fine. Also, I recommend doing it dry with a dryer sheet or baby powder. I find that to be easier.
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
