01 stratus

this back glass is kicking my ass.. need help any suggestions.

what seems to be the problem? shrinking? not sticking? contamination?

2 door stratus coupe? its a boitch! Last one I did I soap shrank-with a little pull and stretch on the top!

guess ive never run into a coupe....i dont remember it if i did and it sounds like i would if i had.

I did one the other day with 3M FX 5 in one piece.

I used the old trusty rusty wet shrink that is demoed in the VW Bug back glass tip. I also used it on an 03 eclipse with no problems. The eclipse was much easier though.

yea its a 2dr coupe, its kicking my ass.. i use fabric softners , maybe i should try soap method. just is a $|-|17 ton to shrink and doesnt want to ..

The soap shrink will work. The easiest I have ever done one was the soap shrink with the pull and tug method at the top.
I leave alot of excess at the top and Im sure its those top corners that are creating the problem. Slow down and onlyshrink a little at a time in those corners.

try to push as much as possible to the middle of the top

so there is less to shrink in the corners



and definately soap it

two pieces shrink a heck of alot easier. I'm telling you once you get the wet shrink lift and pull down you will use it on these cars all the time.

i suck, haha,,, i ended up 2 peiceing the mother, i hate that crap.. thats the only one i have had to do that to in a very long time.. turned out good but i hate seems. i got another question on that car. I think the dude is goin to want a brow on there here in the future. how do you pop off the rear view mirror,

dang did one yesterday and it kicked my ass. never had any problems before on the coupes but this one had an unusual curve on the top drivers side. on the second piece i justr set it up for a relief cut on the top left only.

Those are my least favorite backglasses!

people think im weird because i think the vette and the bug are cake, but i have a hard time on the 3g eclipses. i get em down first try everytime but i bitch and moan about them. and the stratus coupe is basically an eclipse

I have found the eclipse rear window to be easier than the stratus. I think the stratus has a bit more curve to it.
